The kids have been working really hard all winter, and its time for them to show what they've been doing. We'd like to congratulate Isabella Usenza on beginning her new career with her new mare, "Dixie Chick".  With Gardnertown, Old Salem Farm,Saratoga County horse show,  and Hits on the show list, we also have a few new places to try! Has anyone out there shown on the WNE-PHA circuit? We are contemplating doing some of the shows on that circuit as well. Anyone else have any places like to show? As well as the shows,

So to end off our week with them, we decided we were going to paint our big gray horse Ebony.

    This Saturday, we went to our fourth show of the year. This time it was a pretty high caliber show with horses and riders from all walks of life. We traveled to HITS Saugerties with a few of our girls and their horses for a day to learn the layout of the show so we could be ready for a weeklong stay in July. Our girls showed in the Maiden and Novice Equitation, the Children Pony Hunters (Sm/Med), and the Adult Hunters. Overall the day went well, and we even came home with ribbons in large classes! The ponies were all very well behaved and didn't bat an eye at the fences (or the bridge to the showgrounds!). The cloudy day ended with lots of sun, happy children and experiences that couldn't have been taught anywhere else. Hopefully the next time we go to Saugerties we will have as good of a time and we will bring home as many, if not more, ribbons in our classes!!! Pictures should be posted soon!!!!
